Morning Full-On
Psy · 2000 · 140 to 145 BPM · also known as Morning Psy, Morning Trance
Morning full-on is the sunrise version of psytrance's full-on style: major-key melodies, floating vocals, euphoria fully embraced as the sun returns to the floor. Slower and brighter than nocturnal full-on, it flirts with uplifting trance without adopting its production codes. Its anthems are recognizable from the very first build, and festivals reserve it for the hour the sun comes up.

Producing Morning Full-On
Morning full-on sits between 138 and 143 BPM, slower than nocturnal full-on, the grid staying straight while a classic rolling bass often replaces the galloping pattern for something gentler that lets the track breathe. The kick is rounder and less punchy than its nocturnal cousin, around 55 Hz with a moderate click, soft snare or clap on 2 and 4 with longer reverb, and the build is the genre's central moment, an 8 to 16 bar snare roll with an opening highpass filter and rising velocity. The bass keeps the classic full-on kick-then-three-sixteenths pattern but with less distortion and more roundness, and, unusually for psy, it actually follows the pad's chord changes. On top, a Sylenth1 lead plays bright, singable major-key melodies climbing to the third and fifth, wide chorused pads, and ethereal reverb-drenched vocals in isolated words.
