Gamble

par Leon Huff, Kenny Gamble.

1960s-1970s soul label from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also appears as "Gamble Records". Gamble Records, a Gamble-Huff Production, was one of the original labels started by Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff, with the other being Neptune Records (5). When Gamble and Huff founded Philadelphia International Records in 1971, Gamble was made an imprint for PIR and folded Neptune. The label was active from 1966 to 1973, when it was folded and reorganized as TSOP Records. Its biggest act was The Intruders. Was originally independent, but when PIR was founded, it was distributed by CBS Records.
